I’ve come across puzzle games on Google Play Store that are built around colors. They are visually aesthetic and will also help you calm down in your super busy life. So, without further ado, let’s check these games out.
1. I Love Hue
I recently came across this game and, boy, am I hooked or what! I love Hue is an amazing game that is just pretty to look at. The main objective of the game is to reorganize the colored tiles in such a way that the hues move from one shade to another. One of the best parts of the game is that there is no specific number of ‘lives’ or a time limit. You can move the tiles as many times as you want. The game is easy at the beginning but gets more and more complex eventually. I Love Hue will help you learn to see the smallest difference between similar colors. Just put your favorite playlist and play this game to unwind after a long day at work.
2. Kami
Kami is an origami puzzle game that sports eye-pleasing art style. The first thing you will notice when you open the app is the soothing Japanese zen music that creates the perfect environment to play this game. The aim of Kami is to turn all the papers on the screen to the same colour. You can choose from three or four colors and select one that will fill the grid. The key here is to cover the entire grid with a single color in fewer moves. Kami is visually attractive and the animation where the paper crumples to fold is just a delight to watch. It takes time to get the hang of the game first and you might need to see some demo videos.
3. Blendoku
Blendoku is a simple game where the aim is to place blocks of color at the correct location in a grid. The game is based on color principles. Similar to I Love Hue, here, you’ll have to place the blocks next to each other in such a way that it goes from lighter to darker shades of color. You will have to put your head down to get the color scheme right and complete the puzzle. There are four levels — simple, medium, hard, and master — and you can play them in any order. Although there is no time limit in the game, Blendoku will show you the world average time needed to play a particular level. This brings a more competitive element to the game and urges you to solve the puzzle quickly.
4. Polyforge
In Polyforge, you’ll see a new geometrical structure and your goal is to hit all the sides of a structure that is formed on every level in order to progress. For example, if you get a hexagon in the middle, your goal is to hit all the six sides to succeed. However, the geometrical shape keeps rotating so you cannot hit the same side twice. The game tests your reflexes and is visually aesthetic with the right blend of hues and color pallets. I would suggest you turn on the background music as it will help you relax and enjoy the game even better. Polyforge offers the perfect combination of awesome graphics and sound that creates a great gaming experience.
5. 7×7: Best Color Strategy Game
As the name suggests, the game has a 7×7 grid, which is randomly filled with different colored blocks. The gameplay is pretty simple as you’ll have to make horizontal, vertical or diagonal rows of the same color by dragging the pieces across the board. With each move, new blocks will be added to the screen. Hence, you must form a line with the minimum number of moves. You can undo a wrong move by tapping on the upper-right corner. The game gets over once there is no empty space left in the grid. It is a pretty simple game but is not visually beautiful compared to other games on the list.
6. Pigments
This is another cool app that lets you play with colors. The aim of Pigments is to mix drops of primary colors to create a long streak of a secondary color. For example, you’d have to blend red and blue to create a purple dot and then strike the purple dots away. The game starts with 60 seconds on the clock but, depending on the number of drops you remove, you may also earn more time. You can add 15 seconds to a game or turn 10 random drops of the more abundant color into the more scarce one to help balance the game. The color-blending process between two dots is a delight to watch. We believe you will have loads of fun joining these dots.
